I am a qualified Counsellor working in Headley (Surrey) at the 'Surrey Centre for Eating Disorders and Counselling'. I have over 20 years experience in supporting people with addictions, co - dependency and eating disorders.
I work as an Integrative Psychodynamic therapist, loosely translated this means I am able to integrate various forms of therapy depending on your needs. working with the hear and now of your life, whilst being mindful to issues from the past which maybe disrupting your life today.
Engaging in therapy can be a daunting thought for some. Although I can not take away any initial fears you may have, I can work with you in the assessment session to understand your reasons for coming and I hope, reassure you of the process of therapy. The relationship we build in the consulting room is unique, it is your space to explore any struggles you may have, to wonder and think together if your past is impacting your today and ultimately give you greater insight and freedom to live your life more fully.
At the Surrey Centre we work within a multidisciplinary team of therapists, and specialist eating disorder dieticians. We are able to make referrals to residential treatment centres, consultant psychiatrists and family therapists should your ongoing support require this it would be discussed with you first.
