About me

I am a BACP registered Counsellor and CBT Therapist. I work evenings and weekends from my private Practice in Chorlton, South Manchester.  I would describe my way of working as pluralistic and collaborative. As we are aware, everybody is an individual with unique experiences, therefore I tailor therapy to suit my individual clients and their unique needs.

What to expect

On our first meeting, we will discuss what is happening for you and what you wish to gain from our sessions.  This will also give us the opportunity to establish if we would work well together, before committing to therapy with me.

There is strong evidence that suggests the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client is the main positive attribute to a positive outcome. In other words, if you feel comfortable and at ease with me and we can work together to build a trusting therapeutic relationship, then you are likely to experience positive change.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence based talking therapy that looks at your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and how they can trigger each other, sometimes causing a cycle of unhelpful reactions. CBT is a powerful tool in making changes to any unhelpful thoughts or behaviours that you may feel 'stuck' in.  I also have training and a specialist interest in third wave CBT practices, such as Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness.

In Person-Centred Therapy I offer the core conditions of empathy, non-judgement and unconditional positive regard, to allow you to work through your issues and move towards a positive change.

My sessions offer time and space dedicated to you, in a safe place to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement. With my training and knowledge, we will work together to alleviate your distress, nourish your self-compassion and work towards a more content you.

Face to face sessions are held in my Chorlton practice, with weekend appointments available.

Initial session: Free no obligation 30 minute consultation

Then £40 per 50 minute session

I offer a concession rate for students, unemployed or those on a low wage, please contact me for eligibility and availability.
