About me

I now work privately, having worked for a national mental health charity and a bereavement charity, and having acquired over 2,000 counselling hours. I have had the honour of helping a diverse range of people, all of whom bring their own different presenting issues, as everyone is unique! There are, from my experience, common issues that people seek help with such as loss and bereavement, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma and abuse.

I believe in working safely and ethically with clients. In my practice the client is always in control. I work hard to hear my clients in a non-judging and confidential way. I work in a person-centred way which I feel believes in the philosophy of self empowerment and self awareness as a method of helping the client. It is through this process of self empowerment and challenging unhelpful thinking/behaviours that, I feel, the client reaches a better state of mental wellbeing and health. I ensure I am well supervised and attend workshops to enhance my practice.

I work from a purpose built office that is in my private and secluded back garden. I endeavour to make the environment comfortable and relaxing for you.
