If you're reading this, you have made the first step towards changing what isn't working for you in your life.
I am an experienced counsellor based in the centre of Tunbridge Wells and offer therapy for anxiety, depression, stress, lack of confidence, low self-esteem and major life events like relationship difficulties, parenting issues, divorce, redundancy and illness.
I discovered my interest in Counselling through my own experience of counselling during which I explored my relationship with my mother. I followed it through with qualifying in 2014 at the Wealden Institute in Crowborough.
My Diploma is based on the Humanistic Integrative approach. Consequently my practice is rooted in Person Centred theory with some input of Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Egan solution focused framework.
In plain English, this means that I believe that the relationship created in the counselling room is essential to my work. Through attentive listening of my client, I will provide full acceptance. From this base, we will explore how you want to raise your awareness or/and change things in your life.
I gained experience through placements in the IAPT service in the NHS, a Sure Start Children’s Centre and at present at The Hub part of Mental Health Resource in Tunbridge Wells.
In these two placements, I dealt with bereavement, loss, self-esteem, self awareness, abuse, domestic violence, parenting issues, relationships in general, stress, post-natal depression and impact of cultural difference.
I am a registered member of BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework. I have regular supervision.
