Michele Moorcroft (MNCS Accred) Moorcroft Counselling
Stafford Park 4
After being a Samaritans volunteer for many years, I reached the point where I wanted to support people in a different way. As a qualified integrative Counsellor, I prefer having the ability to build a therapeutic relationship where we can work together. Being “integrative” simply means that I am trained and qualified in different types of counselling giving me flexibility and allowing me to tailor my support to meet your individual needs.
What to expect
Counselling is a process and it is not about me giving advice, passing judgement or claiming that I know what is best for you, but it is about me offering you a safe, confidential and supportive environment where you can explore and discover for yourself. I am passionate and have belief in what I do and my aim is that through the work we do, you will start to make sense of your thoughts and feelings, enabling you to move forward and find yourself in a different, more positive place to where you are right now.
I have experience of supporting people with various issues; suicidal thoughts, depression and anxiety, bereavement, relationship problems and self harm to mention just a few. As well as my own private practice I presently volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Care supporting people through their grief.
I am also an accredited provider for 'The Foundation for Infant Loss' supporting Mums and/or their partners who have miscarried, had a stillbirth or a neonatal loss.
If you choose to work with myself then I can offer daytime or evening sessions from my base in Telford or alternatively, I have use of premises in Shrewsbury if that is more convenient. Both locations offer ample free parking.
