You may feel that you are not fully in control of your life or it may feel just too difficult to cope. Counselling offers a safe and supportive way to think about the challenging situation(s) you may be facing, and allows you the space to gain increased self-awareness and consider making positive changes.
Many life challenges may arise which cause difficulties for you such as those relating to bereavement, personal/ family relationships, work related issues, or health problems, as well as feelings of anxiety, depression or anger which may not always have an immediate identified cause. Sometimes there is discontent with how we feel about ourselves. Exploring feelings around these issues in a confidential and non-judgemental place can be helpful and enable you to feel more in charge of your life.
I am an experienced psychodynamic counsellor offering open-ended or time limited counselling/ psychotherapy at an agreed time once a week. At the start of counselling we can talk about what will be most helpful for you.
I work with adult men and women. I also have experience in working with young people aged 16 and over.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I follow their professional code of conduct. This means that I practice responsibly, ethically and to a high standard.
