About me

I have 7 years of clinical experience and have been working as a person-centred therapist in a Central London private practice for the last 4 years. In addition I also work at the City Literary Institute with therapeutic groups of students in person-centred training.

I endeavour to integrate the person-centred ethos of respect, empathy, authenticity and love into all areas of my life.

My inter-personal work with clients is founded on person-centred principles, building a relationship of trust that holds clients in a safe and sacrosanct space and enables them to face the painful places inside them and change.

To that end I also offer guidance and induction into the introspective process called ‘Focusing’, as a powerful tool for intra-personal exploration and alignment to personal process in therapy. It enables clients to be vividly and authentically in contact with their innermost feelings and forge loving relationships with different parts of themselves, which allows healing to take place.

This inner work can, under certain conditions, also open a door to even deeper realms of the psyche - the transpersonal level - and allow clients to access its energies consciously. Such experiences of communion at the level of the soul are shared by client and therapist and can be infused with a sacred presence. In such a heightened energetic space divine love is the healer.

Training, qualifications & experience

From 2005 - 2009, I trained in person-centred (Rogerian) counselling at the Mary Ward Institute and the CityLit respectively, receiving my 'Diploma in Practitioner Counselling' from the CityLit in 2009. Since then I have worked in private practice and in several counselling agencies. This has deepened my counselling experience with a great variety of clients from very diverse backgrounds.

I also trained in group facilitation and have been leading a personal development group for trainee counsellors at the CityLit since 2011.

Areas of counselling I deal with

While giving ample space to all expressions of distress, for example anxiety, depression, loss etc. and meeting them with unconditional positive regard and empathy, my approach tends to be holistic, allowing the whole person to emerge and healing to take place.

My fee is £50.00 for a 50 minute session.
