There are many reasons why people come to counselling. Perhaps you have suffered a traumatic experience which keeps resurfacing and remains unresolved. It might be that you struggle with feelings of anxiety, depression, low mood or sleeping problems. You may be going through a difficult time such as bereavement or relationship issues. Would you like to make sense of your internal conflict and emotional unrest?
I provide a safe, confidential space where you can begin to talk without worry of being criticised or blamed. It might be that you have never talked about your personal issues with others or that you may have found it too overwhelming to do so. Therapy can enable you to take control of your life by helping you to understand yourself more and raise your awareness in areas that are troubling you. We will explore how past, present and future difficulties are affecting you in the present moment. Together we can work collaboratively to begin to understand you. My approach is for you to learn to trust and believe in yourself and ultimately have the confidence to lead the life you desire.
I work with people affected by life issues such as anxiety, depression, past or recent trauma, domestic violence, relationship issues, loss and bereavement, addictions, confidence issues and habitual behavioural patterns.
Taking the next step
I welcome you to contact me either by telephone or email to discuss your counselling needs and to ask any questions you may have about counselling and how it works. I then invite you to book an initial counselling session for us to discuss your needs and explore how we may work together.
I am a registered member of the BACP (the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) which is the leading body for counselling and psychotherapy in the UK. I am committed to adhering to their strict code of ethics and framework.
