Hello. Do you need someone to talk to? Is life getting on top of you? Or are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck or unhappy?
Do you need space and some professional support to work out what’s happening, to understand why you’re feeling a certain way about things?
I’d love to be able to help you. Why not get in touch for a first appointment, and we can sit down, for a relaxed, confidential chat. You can tell me about what’s going on, I will listen to you without judging and together we can try to work out what’s happening and how to make things better.
I work with adults both short term (6 to 12 sessions) and long term. You can contact me any time to ask for an appointment and I’ll normally get back to you within a day. Call or text me on 07443 640556 to make a first appointment and to take the first step to feeling better.
I practise from lovely rooms in both Totnes and in Torquay, as part of Torbay Talking Therapies.
If you want more detail about what to expect and how I work, read on below.
Helping you live the life you want...
I've helped lots of people from all sorts of walks of life, of different ages, gender / sexual orientation, religions and ethnic / cultural backgrounds. Working with me, you'll find:
An accepting, friendly welcome, free of judgment.
A trust that you have the answers in you already and can find them with the right support.
A gentle curiosity that can ask the questions that no-one else is asking, without making you feel bad or ashamed.
A pace that’s guided by you but not afraid to challenge or question when that might help unstick things.
A creative way of working that works with your individual needs and is more than just about talking.
A way of exploring how the past has influenced you and maybe got you stuck in patterns you can’t get free from.
What I can help with
I wouldn't want to reduce your experience to a label - everyone is more complex and rich in their life experience than that - but you might like to know that there are some areas which I help people with most often. These include:
Anxiety and panic attacks
Depression that won’t go away
Stress at work or home
Anger issues – managing it or if you never / rarely feel anger
Passive aggressive behaviour
Difficult relationships with family members, particularly mums and dads
Relationship worries of all sorts, including affairs, break ups and doubts
Struggles to find a relationship or sustain one
Loss of all types including bereavement and grief
Loss of purpose and meaning, particularly at mid-life
If there’s something different and you like the sound of how I work, do get in touch and I can discuss with you if I can help.
A special interest in adult children of narcissistic parents
I have a special interest in and work frequently with adult children of a narcissistic parent.
If you have a challenging relationship with a parent, have low self esteem, a tendency to perfectionism or pleasing others, find yourself often criticised by a parent or that it's impossible to live up to their expectations, second guessing their responses, then you may well have a parent with a narcissistic personality.
I can help you through the process of understanding what this means for you, working through the powerful feelings that come up and moving towards a greater and clearer sense of your self as an independent, valuable and capable adult.
Please get in touch to find out more about how I can help you with this most important and difficult of relationships by calling me on 07443 640556 or emailing via this page.
How I work
I offer integrative Psychosynthesis counselling. This approach is a soulful and gentle way of working through what is painful and is guided by a belief that you can be all you can be.
It combines well-established counselling techniques to provide an approach which is unique to your needs.
I also incorporate mindfulness and creativity into the way I work, if we agree it feels right for you.

Take the next step
If you’d like to see if we can work together, I offer a free 15 minute consultation on the phone.
Text, call on 07443 640556 or email via this page and I’ll always aim to respond within a day to have a chat and, if it feels right, to book a first appointment.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m a Psychosynthesis Counsellor. This integrative approach is also known as ‘psychology with a soul’. At it's heart is the belief that we are more than the pain and challenges we experience. We all have a desire to be all that we can be.
I work creatively with a wide range of techniques tailored to your needs including some of the main therapeutic approaches (Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Person centred, Transpersonal / Psychospiritual, Mindfulness).
I’m trained to post-graduate level (Level 7) from the leading Psychosynthesis training body in the UK, am registered with the BACP, fully insured and supervised. I undertake regular training to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.
I’m also trained in working as a counsellor outdoors (also known as ecotherapy) and can offer this if we agree it is appropriate.
I’ve experience in dealing with multicultural issues, high stress work environments in the public and private sectors and living abroad.
Before moving to Devon, I had a busy practice in Brighton and worked both indoors and outdoors in nature.
