Hello, I'm Matthew and I work in the Boston Manor area between Ealing and Brentford, with individuals or couples.
Taking the step to seek counselling can be a difficult one, but it's a process which many find very rewarding.
If you are not sure if counselling is the right step, I can offer a free thirty minute initial session where we can meet and discuss the reasons that have led you to seek counselling. After this initial meeting you might choose to make an appointment, but there are no expectations or pressure on you to do so.
If you choose to work with me you will see that I use a person-centred approach, putting you and your experience at the centre of our work. I take a non-judgmental position, working alongside you to support you to grow in whichever direction you feel is right.
As well as practicing counselling and psychotherapy indoors, I am also trained in "Wild Therapy". If working outdoors is something that interests you or you would like any more information about this approach, please let me know.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have 5 years of experience of working as a counsellor and over 12 years experience of working 1-2-1 in the helping professions.
I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling from The Minster Centre in London.
I currently manage a counselling service across a group of schools in London, where I work therapeutically with teachers and parents, and manage a team of therapists who work with children. For this reason I am particularly experienced in working with issues around family dynamics.
As well as working within private practice, I have wide experience of working as a counsellor in different settings including Higher Education, the NHS, with staff and parents in schools, and in a charity. I have experience of short-term and long-term work.
