Profile

I am an experienced and accredited counsellor and psychological therapist with many years experience in NHS and private sector. Within a supportive and confidential relationship I work with  a range of issues where the relationship with my client is of paramount importance.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

My background is as an Oncology Radiographer and I worked at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Surrey, Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and at Ipswich Hospital before training ih counselling in Person Centred counselling and working in both a Cancer Centre and a Renal Centre which including palliative in a hospice.

I included CBT and short term work in my job as a counsellor at Southampton General Hospital in their Occupational Health Department seeing staff there.

In 1993 I commenced training as a Cognitive Analytic Therapist and was accredited by the Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapists (ACAT) IN 1995. I am also a qualified Supervisor.I have worked for the Hampshire Eating Disorders Service until Dec 2010 and am very experienced with working with this client group. I am a counsellor for B-eat and a counsellor and supervisor for the National Centre for Eating Disorders.

I am a member of British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, Faculty of Healthcare Counsellors and Psychotherapists and also an accredited practitioner with the Association of Cognitive Analytic Therapists.

Free assessments and then £50/session. I work in a time limited way and will always work collaboratively to agree goals for counselling.
