Most of us have times in our lives when we find it difficult to cope and need some help, for example because unforeseen events such as bereavement, or due to relationship difficulties with our partners, family members, work colleages or friends.  At these times our self-esteem can be at an all time low.  As your counsellor I offer a professional, respectful and confidential service to help you make sense of what is going on in your life, explore how you would like things to be and how to make your situation more manageable.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Couples Counselling (York St. John University)

Certificate in Transactioanl Anaysis in Marital Therapy (York St. John University)

Relate training in Counselling Children and Young People

I have over ten years experience in counselling, working mainly in the voluntary sector with individual clients, couples (married and unmarried), and young people. I also have a number of years experience working in schools, advising on bereavement issues.

Over the years I have undergone extensive in-service training in areas such as self-harm, couple conflict, depression and anxiety.

I am a member of the BACP and adhere to its ethical practice guidelines. I am fully insured.

Couples: £40 perone hour session

Students of counselling: Reduced raes depending on he number of sessions required
