About me

  • Welcome to my profile...

I am an experienced BACP accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist with 17 years experience. I offer long and short term psychotherapy/counselling for adults of all ages and young people.

You may come for psychotherapy or counselling for many reasons, often when you feel at a crisis point or you know that you have to change. You may feel distressed, isolated, depressed, anxious, sad, lost or  confused with how you are really feeling. At such times you may feel vulnerable and wanting to seek extra support.

I will listen with attention, understanding and the ability to reflect on what you say in a non- judgemental way. Together we will try to understand and explore your feelings and for you to talk about any issues that may be troubling you. I focus on what changes you want to achieve. I help you to think about what may have happened in the past that could be influencing you now. People have a tendency to repeat patterns of behaviour and even when they would like to change this can be difficult to do.

Psychodynamic therapy as a process of self discovery; for you to gain meaningful understanding of yourself, how you respond to life and the people around you. Therapy can help you to clarify situations that may be causing you confusion and pain. My role is to help you explore your difficult feelings that may arise as you tell me about yourself. This can provide a sense of relief, enable changes to be made and give you a greater sense of control of your life.I offer a calm, confidential, respectful and non-judgemental approach for us to explore your situation in a private practice in central Bath.

I adhere to BACP & BPC code of ethics; maintain strict confidential & professional boundaries.

In addition to my psychotherapy practice:
  • Supervise psychodynamic diploma students and graduate counsellors and psychotherapists.
  • Involved with the training of psychodynamic students at Frome Counselling & Psychotherapy Agency.
  • Personal Tutor for Foundation & Diploma students at Frome.
