Martyn Jessop MBACP (Accredited)
Modern living and relationships are demanding and can leave us feeling depressed, anxious, vulnerable or confused, as we struggle to cope with our lives and work. You may be questioning your relationships with your partner, feeling family life is too difficult, or disliking yourself and the way you are. We will all, inevitably, at some point in our lives experience situations and emotions that we cannot make sense of. You may experience a whole host of feelings, which might include anxiety, depression, loss, loneliness and confusion, stress, anger, self-loathing frustration or even fear. Not knowing what to do or how to respond to such emotions and situations often makes us feel helpless and stuck.
Counseling offers you a chance to change how you feel and how you live. It is a process of talking to someone who accepts you as you are and takes time to listen to your life story, your fears, anxieties, and losses in a way that is open and non-judgemental. It provides a regular time and space for you to talk about your life and explore difficult thoughts and feelings in an environment that is dependable, free from intrusion and confidential. I will respect your viewpoint while helping you to deal with specific problems, cope with crises, improve your relationships, or develop better ways of living.
I work with both individuals and couples.
I offer daytime, evening and some weekend sessions.
