Profile
I use the CBT Framework to deliver psychotherapeutic interventions which are carefully tailored to your individual needs. I see all clients as unique individuals and I have found that CBT provides a sound and flexible basis on which your own issues can be jointly understood and addressed.
I provide these services through my company Elite Therapists where associate therapists are also available. They are bound by the same quality disciplines and company ethos as I am, which has become the hallmark of Elite Therapists.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I graduated as a teacher from Loughborough University in 1971 and went into business for a taste of the ‘real world’ before returning to school. Once in business I thrived and never made it back into school as a teacher. Instead I taught and coached adults as a business manager, educator and mentor in industry and later as an independent business consultant. In recognition of my experience I was invited to become a liveryman of the worshipful company of management consultants.
Since retiring from business, I have been awarded a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) from the University of East Anglia, an honorary BA from Loughborough University and I expect to complete my BSc (Hons) in Psychology this year (2012).
I am an experienced coach, successfully counselling people in business for many years. I now use the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) model as a preferred framework for delivering counselling and therapy interventions. CBT often includes elements of cognitive, behavioural, person centred, gestalt and psychoanalytic therapy, depending on the needs of my clients. I am a Member of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP), and the British Psychological Society (BPS).
More information and some informative literature can be found on the website.
I am supervised by JOHN MARSHAL Dip CBT, BACP and BABCP Accred.

Further Information
I have pleasant and comfortable consulting rooms in Ridlington but also meet clients in their own homes by arrangement. Parking is available.
On a more personal note, I am married and have been for 40 years. I have three grown up daughters and three grandchildren. I am retired from my business consulting activities and now devote all my time to providing therapy and counselling services to individuals and a few selected organisations.
Although reduced to spectating now, I have been a keen sportsman playing rugby for Leicester Tigers and others and had the privilege of representing Great Britain in athletics for Shot putt.
