About me

Counselling & Therapy at Maidstone Counselling Centre.                                     BSc Psychology. Accredited counsellor.
Mindfulness - Based Counselling. Person
Centered. Certified Mindfulness Practitioner.

This is an active therapy where you learn new skills to deal with distress. You get the benefit of not only learning mindfulness but also other psychological skills to help deal with our difficult emotions, thoughts, memories & body sensations.
Life inevitably involves emotional pain, but through this approach you can learn to take a different perspective on your problems and your life. This approach will help you drop the struggle with emotional pain and find more vitality in your own life.

I work at a pace that suits you, so gradually your difficult thoughts & feelings have much less impact & influence on you. This then allows you to make changes, or put your energy into things you want to do.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you accept what's out of your personal control, and commit to taking action that enriches your life. This is an evidence-based cognitive behavioural type of therapy. It's a very active therapy that actually teaches you many psychological skills for you to use in your everyday life. These skills are learnt in sessions & at home via free practice audio exercises.

Mindfulness Therapies are becoming increasingly popular and an exciting new approach to deal with many types of distress including depression, anxiety, stress and addictions.

Please contact me by Phone, Text or E-Mail with any questions you have or to make an appointment. Free initial phone consultation.
