Nutfield Priory Spa
Counselling can be a wonderful way to really talk confidentially about issues which are troubling us.
I work 1:1 building an empathic relationship of trust in order for my clients to feel safe and find the freedom to talk. There are many reasons why we seek therapy; sometimes its just having that breathing space to be heard about an issue which is troublesome or perhaps there is a weighty life event which has occupied your mind and life for a while and you want to understand more about how and why it has impacted you so.
People want counselling for many reasons; relationship difficulties, addiction, codependency, the death of a loved one or to improve the way we deal with life and counselling can help and encourage us to look at our choices and find ways to make positive changes.
I have a social care background and trained as a counsellor as part of my innate interest in people and how we can sometimes lose meaning and purpose to life.
I offer free 15 minute assessments either face to face or by phone.
I have a counselling room in central London and in Surrey.
I can also come to your place of residence if needed for assessments and face to face sessions.
As a drug and alcohol practitioner working with some of the lead rehabilitation centres in Europe and within the UK, my aptitudes and skills have lead me to setting up a 'mentoring' service for people with drug and alcohol issues and who want recovery.
As part of this role I offer life style guidance and therapy to people who are struggling to re-enter back in to the community either after a break down/depression or are in recovery from addiction. This is service which enables the client to have me there to restructure their days and lifestyle by being with them at their home to encourage and model new ways of living. Either half days or full days can be offered along with night cover for people who have anxiety or worry about being alone.
This service is implemented throughout Surrey, Sussex and Greater London.
I have a full enhanced DBS (please check www.gov.uk for an explanation of this) and have extensive experience with supporting people in their homes.
