About me

I am an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist offering short and long term therapy to individuals and couples. Whether you are thinking of coming to therapy at a time of crisis, or at a time to understand more fully what is happening in your life, talking with a therapist can be very helpful. I will provide a safe and confidential space and support you to explore thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that may affect the way you think about and relate to yourself and others.

In our first session we will discuss and consider your concerns and any thoughts and feelings you have about therapy. We will think about how we can work together, and what you would like to get out of our meetings.  At the same time you will get a sense of how I work and whether or not you wish to pursue further sessions.

Recent issues people have explored include the following:

  • Anxiety
  • Relationship issues
  • Couple counselling
  • Family issues
  • Feelings of depression
  • Post natal depression
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Childhood trauma and abuse
  • Sexual, physical, emotional abuse
  • Health related issues
  • Feelings of low self esteem or low self confidence
  • Anger management

Please feel free to telephone or email me if you would like to ask any questions about how I work, the process of beginning therapy, or to arrange an initial, confidential consultation.
