Everyone reacts in different ways to different events - that is because we are all unique. Counselling provides you with the space and an opportunity to take time out to explore what is going on in your life. It can help you make sense of your behaviours, thoughts and feelings. Hopefully by availing of counselling you can be helped to become aware of different changes that you wish to make in your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have completed the Diploma (HE) in Counselling (Commendation)
I work as an integrated counsellor, working to suit each individual and combining the theory of:-
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Person Centred Theory
- Psychodynamic Therapy
I also have achieved:-
- OCR Certificate in Counselling Studies
- ASSIST Training
- CRUSE Bereavement Training
I have undertaken courses in:-
- Child Protection
- Domestic Violence
- Working with Young People
- Working with Trauma and Dissociation
- Working with Anxiety
Areas of counselling I deal with
£30 per session (approximately 50 minutes)
Concession for students.
I currently provide counselling in a Health Centre, working with a different range of people including students.
I volunteer with CRUSE Bereavement Care helping to support people who have been through bereavement.
I currently provide counselling for a cancer charity, working both with clients diagnosed with cancer and people who have been bereaved by cancer.
I am a member of the BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework. To fully enhance my work I attend monthly supervision with an accredited supervisor.
