About me

The clinicians at Prometheus offer face-to-face therapy as well as Zoom/Skype appointments - please contact the clinic for details: 01823 271076

I am a Chartered and Registered Clinical Psychologist and an Accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (CBT) with the BABCP. I am also an Accredited EMDR Practitioner. I have experience in working in both the NHS and private sector and offer therapy to adults, adolescents (16-18), elderly, couples and families.

I am also the clinical lead for Prometheus Psychological Therapy Centre where highly qualified and NHS experienced clinical psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors offer expertise in mental health and psychological therapy.

The experts at the Centre provide mental health and psychological assessments, treatment interventions and therapy (including CBT, CAT, Mindfulness, EMDR and Couple Therapy) for a broad range of mental health and psychological problems across the age range, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harm, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress, along with counselling for problems related to relationships, grief and bereavement, and stress.

Beautiful and discreet clinic rooms in the heart of Taunton.

Prometheus Psychological Therapy Centre offers short waiting times with flexible appointments, including evenings and weekends.

Please note that if you contact the admin@prometheus-therapy.co.uk, you are agreeing to the clinicians at the clinic having your details and discussing the referral as appropriate.

Training, qualifications & experience

All the professionals at Prometheus Psychological Therapy Centre are highly experienced, many of whom continue to work in the NHS or have previously worked in the NHS as well now working in private practice.   The clinicians are all registered with their own professional bodies including the HCPC, BPS, BABCP and the BACP.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

Key details

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

Whilst the clinic is suitable for wheelchairs, there are no disabled bathroom facilities. On-line therapy sessions can be arranged.

Supervision
