There are times in our lives when our experiences, thoughts and emotions can threaten to overwhelm us. Sometimes we may know why we are feeling the way that we do and sometimes we may not. We may begin to feel stuck, directionless or feel that life has no meaning, leading to anxiety and depression and consequently to a myriad of unbearable feelings such as self-hatred, anger, confusion, helplessness and worthlessness.
In order to cope, we may develop self-destructive patterns of behaviour, such as self-harming, problems with drugs and alcohol, eating disorders or relationship sabotaging behaviours. These behaviours may not only negatively impact upon our sense of self, but also upon our relationships with those around us. We may feel that our thoughts and feelings are much too difficult to share with those closest to us or we may feel that we have no one that we can talk to.
My aim is to help you to gain a better self-understanding so that destructive behaviours and painful emotions can become lessened, thus allowing you a greater freedom to live your life in a more fulfilling way.
