About me

I have many years of experience working with issues of anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, loneliness, isolations, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, work related stress, sexuality, cultural difference, disability, HIV and bereavement.

I am an Accredited BACP Integrative psychotherapist.

I provide a non-judgemental, safe, therapeutic space to help you make sense of your thoughts and emotions, and to discuss your concerns. Through our 50-minute sessions together, we can try to clarify what is happening in your life.  By looking at any recurring patterns we can aim to create opportunities for internal and external change.

We all go through suffering in our lives. Personal therapy is a transformative experience and can become the place to gain insights and support.

I offer short term counselling and open-ended psychotherapy. The initial session is half price (£25), without obligation.

Here are some comments made by my clients about our therapy sessions:

'I was diagnosed HIV positive about three years ago and counselling has become in incredibly important part of my life in coming to terms with the diagnosis. I have been seeing Marco for a couple of years now and cannot stress enough how supportive I find those weekly meetings to be. While there is still a long way to go, the sessions have been invaluable in encouraging me to examine and talk through my own doubts, fears and feelings of shame in a completely non-judgemental environment. I feel a much stronger person as a result'.

I have been seeing Marco for the past nine months and from our very first encounter he has helped create a space which has become a treasured refuge for me. His warmth and non-judgemental approach has allowed me to open up and to be completely honest with myself. When I am with Marco it feels like he is holding a mirror up, inviting me to look deep into my soul and embrace it. I have gained an enormous amount from these reflections and his insights. I recommend him without hesitation.

'I have just completed my course of counselling sessions with Marco and I wanted to send a note to say how impressed I have been with both the sessions and with Marco as a counsellor. I wasn't that keen on the whole concept at first but I really can't describe how much the whole experience has helped me come to terms with everything and also made me feel supported and understood. I just wanted to say a big thank you, you've been amazing and I think it's important that you know how much you have helped me over the last 3 months'.

'Although we had only six hours of counselling, those are six hours that I shall never forget'.
