About me

Difficulties and challenges that we all experience throughout life can leave us with relationship issues, stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, addictive behaviours, feelings of isolation and many other physical problems also. The counselling process allows a safe environment to explore, reflect, gain awareness and acceptance of the uniqueness of who we are and what we want from our lives.

My name is Marcia; I have been an Integrative counsellor for over fourteen years. I offer short and long term counselling on a one to one basis, either face to face, Zoom or telephone. My private practice is in the the village of Corby Glen, a quiet area benefitting from parking and privacy. As my practice is minutes away from the A1, it is central for Grantham, Bourne, Stamford and all surrounding villages.

I provide a confidential, respectful and non-judgemental service. Together, we can build a relationship which helps to explore situations that you may be finding difficult, hard to understand or accept. Be it from your past, present or an area that you really are not clear about.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or queries you have. I will endeavour to respond to all enquiries within 48 hours.

So if there is something that you want to talk about, understand more, accept and move forward with, or just some uncertainty that you might like to discuss, then I am here to listen.

*** Have you ever considered therapy outdoors?

As well as working indoors, I offer therapy outdoors in the form of nature therapy. These sessions are in and around Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.

Nature guided therapy allows you to focus on yourself in an environment that facilitates physical and mental wellbeing. Being outdoors can lift your mood and help combat depression, whilst benefiting from learning distraction techniques by using nature.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
