About me

I am an experienced psychotherapist, trauma informed therapist, counsellor  and couples therapist.
I am empathetic, and able to take a collaborative approach to helping a person manage their difficulties.

I realize how important it is to get the right help when you need it. For many years, I have been working with individuals who have common (mild to moderate) and severe mental health difficulties. I have worked within the third sector, and still work for the NHS as a therapist.

It’s a huge step to decide to have therapy, and if you’re on this site, then you are already part way there to getting the help you deserve. I offer no judgement or negativity as a therapist and have a huge respect for you for getting the support needed.

My practice is not only built on experience, but on safety and trust and inclusivity. I have experience of working with the BAME community, the LGBTQI+ community and any community that regards themselves as being marginalised.
I have work with young adults upwards around anxiety issues, low mood, and emotional regulation.
It’s a space where you can feel understood and accepted and together, we can find a way forward.

I work  face to face and on video call, which offers you the benefit of having your therapeutic experience in the comfort of your own surroundings.
Face to face sessions are in south Manchester on Monday morning, until 2pm. Video call  are on Mondays 3pm onwards.

I can provide one to one Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), for difficulties such as:

Depression

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

Health Anxiety Disorder

Social Anxiety Disorder

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Panic Disorder/Panic Attacks

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
