In my career of over 35 years, I have provided professional care and support to adults, children and young people within the NHS and voluntary sector and have worked for over 14 years as counsellor and psychotherapist.
In my work, I offer a compassionate, curious and creative relationship where you can talk about yourself, your life and anything you are finding painful, difficult or confusing. It is an opportunity to understand yourself more and to consider changes that may improve your life, relationships and how you feel.
I also have an interest in the value of good support for professionals in caring roles, for self care and maintaining a good work/life balance. As part of my private practice I provide supervision, consultation and training supporting professionals in the work place.
I offer daytime and evening appointments. My practice is based in Thame, close to both Oxford and Aylesbury. Haddenham and Thame Parkway Station is a few minutes drive away and the 280 bus route stops nearby. There is free parking available.
Training, qualifications & experience
I initially worked as a Registered General Nurse, in both hospital and the community with adults and children. I moved from nursing to the voluntary sector where, alongside my work as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor, I have managed a counselling charity and co ordinated a youth project providing help to young women struggling to cope and at risk of self harm.
