About me

I have over 15 years experience, working with adults in the NHS, charitable organisations and in private practice, with a range of issues, such as anxiety and depression.  In my work in the NHS I specialised in perinatal mental health offering psychological support to individuals and couples who have experienced pregnancy loss, birth trauma and postnatal depression.  Alongside my private practice, I am currently working in a primary care NHS service offering short term psychotherapy to individuals and couples.

As an Integrative Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist, I draw upon a variety of psychological approaches to suit the individual needs of each client.  I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and client to provide a safe space to explore both past and present experiences.  It is through this exploration that individuals can gain a greater understanding of themselves and their relationships to bring about change.

Coming to therapy can be a daunting experience, but please feel free to contact me if you have any queries or to arrange a free initial consultation. In the initial consultation we would discuss what your current needs are and together we can decide if I am the right therapist for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a doctorate (DCPsych) in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy and a clinical diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy, both from the Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University. I also have a Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Regent's College and a BSc Honours Psychology degree from Manchester University.

I have 15 years of experience working in the NHS, voluntary and private sectors.  I have specialised in perinatal mental health, and have experience of working with a range of client groups and issues including:

  • Depression

  • Relationship issues/problems
