I am a professionally qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, specialising in trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I am experienced in working therapeutically with individuals, young people, couples and families.
My approach is collaborative and builds on the strengths that you already have to find different ways of managing the stresses of modern living.
I am based in Southend-on-Sea and also offer online and telephone Counselling.
As a Registered member of the BACP I subscribe to their code of ethics.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling, a Diploma in Adlerian Counselling Skills and Practice, and a Certificate in Adlerian Counselling.
As well as these qualifications I have undertaken training in trauma, suicide and self-harm, and supervision.
Having worked as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and as a short-term solution focused counsellor I can adapt my approach to your needs.
I have also worked in intensive therapeutic settings (2-3 sessions weekly) with families where teenagers are displaying anti-social behaviours.
