Maggie Reilly, Psychotherapist
Psychotherapy aims to help people understand and change complex, deep-seated and often unconsciously based emotional and relationship problems thereby reducing symptoms and alleviating distress. However, their role is not limited only to those with mental health problems. Many people who experience a loss of meaning in their lives or who are seeking a greater sense of fulfilment may be helped by psychotherapy.
Sometimes people seek help for specific reasons such as eating disorders, psycho-somatic conditions, obsessional behaviour, or phobic anxieties. At other times help is sought because of more general underlying feelings of depression or anxiety, difficulties in concentrating, dissatisfaction in work or inability to form satisfactory relationships.
I am a Psychotherapist with 10 years clinical training. I have experience of working in voluntary and private sectors as well as the NHS in an acute Psychiatric setting.
I work from a recently restored building in the heart of Westerham which is within easy reach of Sevenoaks, Tatsfield, Biggin Hill, Oxted and Edenbridge. The main car park in Westerham provides free parking for up to 3 hours.
Appointments are Monday to Friday with flexible appointment times to accommodate those who work. Sessions are once weekly (but can be more) on the same day and at the same time each week.
How will you know if this is the right therapy for you? We start with an initial consultation after which there is no obligation to continue if you don't wish to. The initial consultation will involve some exploration of what has led you to seek therapy now, your expectation of it and some background information. The purpose of the consultation will be to help us both decide if Psychotherapy could be of benefit to you at this particular time. If you wish to make an appointment then please leave me a message on 07527 777374 or contact me via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org The initial consultation will last for 50 minutes and there will be a charge of £60 which is payable, in cash, on the day. Ongoing fees are set between us at the initial consultation. Please see further below for more about fees.
