How do you feel when someone says to you “How are you?”
Do you answer truthfully?
Do you “yes I am fine” when you are feeling:
- Unable to cope
Do you say you are ok because you think that’s what they want to hear?
Is it because you don’t want to burden anyone with your truth, the truth that weighs heavily on your shoulders!
I know how frightening it can be just to make that first initial contact with a counsellor, never mind actually coming to see one.
The thought of facing your fears and talking over your issues can be a terrifying and daunting prospect.
But I am here to support you. I will provide for you a safe, relaxed, confidential, non-judgmental environment; where in your own time we can together explore how you feel.
I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor with an Advanced Diploma in Person-Centred (Humanistic) Existential Counselling.
I have worked on a voluntary basis as the only counsellor at a doctor’s surgery in Leigh on Sea, Essex, working within the NHS, supporting clients with complex mental health issues in long and short term therapy
I also volunteered as a counsellor at the local authorities fostering and adoption agency.
