My name is Lynne Douglas and I am a CBT/EMDR Therapist (BABCP Accredited CBT therapist ,EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner ) with clinics in both Chesterfield and Mansfield.
I have over 17 years experience working in mental health services, my core profession is Mental Health Nursing since 1999. I have worked consistently in the National Health Service and alongside this for the past 6 years I have had my own private practice.
It was whilst working on acute mental health wards many years ago that I really wanted to be more active in helping people get better and my interest in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy grew. I gained my Post Graduate Diploma in CBT from Manchester University in 2005 and have since worked as a CBT therapist in both Chronic pain management and for 6 years within IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) Steps2Change service Chesterfield providing therapy for people with mild to moderate anxiety and depressive disorders within the NHS.
Within my private practice I see people with varied difficulties from work related stress, trauma, anxiety and depression to trauma, travel and driving anxiety for people following road traffic accidents, work based accidents or personal trauma.
If you are not sure if CBT or EMDR is for you then why not book half an hour free of charge to discuss it.
