Walk and Talk In Your Local Park
Home, Office, Park, Coffe Shop, Etc
Do you need to talk but just can't find the time? I offer a flexible, friendly counselling service using the telephone, Skype, Face Time or Hangout. Alternatively, if you would prefer I can also come to your office, meet in a café or perhaps a local park for a Walk & Talk.
Can you justify the time and the money on counselling you ask? What would you do to close a sale, meet a deadline, go that extra mile to make something special? You deserve to look after yourself and find a way to reduce your stress, relieve those worries and talk to someone who is qualified to listen, summarise your thoughts and help you to make sense of your world and those within it.
Are you going through a challenging time? Finding it hard to cope? Do you need some support?
I offer a unique, flexible and affordable approach to counselling and together we will build on your individual strengths to face your life challenges. I deal with a multitude of different problems including:
· general life
· stress - general and work related
So what is this amazing process called counselling?
Put simply, it's Talking Therapy.
You've been online, and finally picked up the courage to make an appointment. I respect you for facing your fears and making a giant step towards changing your life.
Instead of working in a counselling room, my clients have a choice of place to work in. Some love to be outside in the park or walking along the river bank. Others prefer a coffee shop, pub or their own home. The choice is yours and I will travel to you.
I can also offer Telephone and Video counselling (Skype, Face Time or Hangout) for those who are unable to leave their home/office or, for those who are outside of my travelling area.
During our first session I will tell you about the contract which includes confidentiality. This is the most important gift I can give you as it's the foundation of the process we are both entering into. We are going to build a relationship on trust. This word trust is a small word with a big meaning!
We will work at your pace, letting the story unfold. I find some people go straight in as they want the situation to change, others like small bites. Some people have locked so many emotions and feelings away that letting them out slowly is as much emotional pain as they can handle.
The subject matter is yours and it’s my job to help you achieve the goal that you set. If your goal is to achieve a better quality of life then that’s our destination
So now it’s your turn to do some work. What are you hoping to gain out of seeing me? I see our work as a joint collaboration, where we work together to help you make the decisions you feel are right so that you can move forward and achieve more of your potential.
I am a private practice counsellor and so that I work with your best interests at all times, I regularly visit a supervisor and a supervision group. They ensure I'm working ethically, and suggest any research work I may need to do to improve my knowledge. These are people I hold in high regard with a depth of knowledge I respect.
If you think I can help please contact me:-
I offer 50 minute sessions at a reasonable price of £35 and if you want to keep working and we both have the availability, extra time can be purchased at £8 for 15 minutes.

A bit about me...
Firstly I would like to let you know that I am transgender, transitioning form male to female and finding it an amazing adventure. I find that by being able to admit to my past hang-ups encourages people to face their own issues.
Previously, after hitting an all time low in my life, I started doing voluntary work helping prisoners to get aid towards rebuilding their life,
I took the four year advanced diploma in person centred counselling, and did my basic hours in the same open prison gaining a vast wealth of experience. I carried on gaining experience for many years before moving on to building up a private practice.
I have 4 grown up children who have challenged and opened up my life, taking me to wonderful places I never dreamed existed, and emotions I never knew I had.
I enjoy a wide range of activities from going out to the theatre, sea fishing, camping, watching football and rugby. I love cooking and eating out and especially going out on my motorbike. I find this helps to recharge my batteries and puts me in touch with all my senses.
Each year you will find me riding in the British Legions "Ride of Respect" and the newly formed "Ring of Red" along with the "Lee Rigby ride" and anything else that supports our armed services.

£ 35 per session for Telephone, Skype, Face Time or Hangout counselling.

For a continuation of a session there is a fee of £8 for each 15 minute increment.
Walk and Talk is a flexible counselling service where the time or location doesn't have to be the same each week. For some, it suits their day if I come to their house or place of work.
Some peoples schedules mean they can only fit in one appointment every two weeks. The area I cover is Basingstoke, Caversham, Reading, Maidenhead, Slough, Staines, Guildford, Farnham, Aldershot and Fleet.
