About me

Hello and welcome to my page

Are you experiencing personal and emotional difficulties and struggling to cope? Or you may be experiencing feelings from your past that have resurfaced to cause you further distress?

Do you feel like you are going round and round in circles, or stuck in a rut but can't seem to find a way forwards?

Perhaps you are feeling angry, depressed, anxious/stressed, misunderstood, fearful, sad, lonely, generally unhappy, tearful or confused and you can't simply "just get on with it" or "pull yourself together". You might be feeling tired and drained, and it is hard for you to function in your day to day life, with things like work, family or close relationships.

It can be hard to walk around with these challenging emotions, and it might seem as though "everyone else is OK" and that there is "something wrong with me". You may have tried to talk to your friends and family but still feel as if nothing has changed, Or perhaps there is no one you can share these thoughts and feelings with.

The thought of talking to a compete stranger about your innermost feelings can be very scary. So well done for being brave enough to take the first step by looking at this page.

People also come to me for counselling to find out more about themselves, and this can help with their own personal development, career or life decisions, and their relationships generally.

How I can help you

I can help you by offering a safe, warm, accepting space that is dedicated to your specific needs. You will have the opportunity to voice your thoughts and feelings without judgement,

I can help you to develop your self awareness.

I can help you to build on your own resources and find a positive way forwards.

I offer a "talking therapy".  Our sessions will be interactive with the emphasis on enabling you to talk about yourself, and express your feelings in any way that you are experiencing them.

You can relax knowing that you will be talking to a fully trained professional person, who will work with you with patience, empathy and kindness.

I absolutely love my work and enjoy working with such a diverse range of people and the challenges they face. I find it very rewarding seeing the positive changes that counselling can bring to people's lives.

What next?

Well you have already taken that all important first step in getting support for yourself.

So please give me a call or email me, and we can arrange to meet; or I would be happy to have a chat with you and answer any questions that you might have about coming to me for counselling.
