The first step towards seeking external support to help you deal with emotional issues is a difficult one to make. It is courageous to seek guidance on issues that are still too often belittled by society. If you are reading this, be proud that you are considering making this step.
How I Work:
I believe that the relationship between a therapist and their clients is key in achieving therapeutic change. I work with my clients towards building a trusting, non-judgemental and honest relationship.
I will aim to empower you to talk freely and work through your issues, whether it is causing you heartache or distress, or simply to discuss feelings that you have never been able to explore before.
Who I Am:
I am trained in integrative therapy, which means that I can draw from numerous theories and skills that best suit each person. I believe that counselling offers invaluable support if you are coming to terms with life changing experiences or you want to understand certain emotions with the help of someone who is both objective and has no hidden agenda.
I am a member and practitioner of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and as such, I am bound by its ethical framework.
I have a clinical background within the NHS and the private sector. I have also worked with children with Autism as well as people dealing with bereavement.
I offer both short term (usually 6-8 sessions) and long term open ended therapy which is regularly reviewed. I am also bilingual and can accept Spanish speaking clients.
