I am a fully qualified NHS trained (BACP) registered Integratve counsellor. This means I am trained in different approaches which gives me more flexibility in choosing the best approach for you.
I work to promote self awareness, empower self growth, strengthen boundaries, improve relationships and reduce your emotional suffering.
I believe therapy should be the one place you can talk freely without needing to censor yourself. You can be enlightened by the thoughts, memories and feelings that arise in therapy. The ones you would normally ignore or push down and brush aside in any normal conversation.
I will not tell you how to live your life but help you clarify these thoughts and feelings. Explore possibilities and outcomes and ultimately feel confident in making your own decisions.
I offer a free initial phone consultation so we can get to know each other and you can decide whether you feel comfortable talking to me. Relationship is key to the counselling process so this is an important step and if you decide to go ahead from here we will decide on a suitable time and location for you.
I have extensive counselling experience gained in a number of settings. As well as my private practice I have worked in doctors surgeries, primary and secondary schools and have worked with Employee Assistance Programmes providing emotional support and counselling for employees in the work place.
Through these roles I have gained experience in working with issues such as anxiety, work related and exam stress, depression, bereavement, self harm, addiction, abuse and relationship problems amongst others.
