Louise Beaumont MBACP (Accred). Dip Coun. Relate Cert. Supervision Dip.
With a background of 20+ years experience in individual and couples/relationship counselling and training I understand that no two people are exactly alike. The majority of us would prefer that life ran smoothly, without emotional turmoil, but our experience of life provides us with ups and downs, highs and lows and sometimes we need to find a place where we can take stock, reflect and make sense of what is happening. We need to do this in order to choose how to respond, how we want to behave and feel and what path we want to take. Whether you come as an individual or are seeking couples counselling, our work will be tailored to you and your unique situation.
There are any number of concerns that people bring to couple/relationship counselling or individual counselling such as; relationships, couple issues and intimate sexual issues, family issues, affairs and betrayals, anger management, bereavement, depression, caring for a relative with dementia, generalised anxiety and stress, and sometimes it is just difficult to define what the problem is. But with the aid of counselling things can become clearer and those feelings of uncertainty or unhappiness can be worked through, helping you to become better at understanding and dealing with them, and even help you to make changes.
Relationships are central to our worlds; starting, ending, coasting. Past, present, future. Longed for. Feared. Happy, sad, indifferent. Relationships are so important to us all and often perplexing. We have all kinds of relationships, those with our parents as children, with our siblings, school and college friends and tutors, boyfriends, girlfriends, wives, husbands, offspring, work colleagues.
