My model is holistic offering in-depth counselling. I aim to establish a meaningful therapeutic relationship with you. Developing the unique relationship of therapy is based on empathy and being heard laying the foundation to understanding yourself at a deeper level. As a Psychodynamic counsellor I am trained to listen to you on many levels to understand and discover with you what you are bringing to therapy.
I am a fully qualified therapeutic and Psychodynamic counsellor, Psychiatric trained, with many years experience.
I am a Registered member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I have worked in the NHS in mental health all of my working life in psychological therapies and previously as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. I am used to seeing people at a point of psychological and spiritual crisis in their lives.
For almost seven years I worked in GP surgeries seeing a wide range of people for psychological therapy in the NHS for depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, family problems, bereavement, low self esteem, childhood trauma, loneliness, and many other psychological issues and distress. I am now in private practice.
Experienced in short term and long term therapy. I offer open-ended therapy.
I provide confidential, one to one, face to face, therapy for adults from age 18.
Training, qualifications & experience
Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling.
Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling CPCAB Transpersonal Integrative.
BSc (Hons) Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
Undertaking further advanced training in therapy.
Previously a counsellor with Wiltshire Mind and Wessex Counselling Agencies.
