I am a trained professional person centred counsellor and am passionate about the positive effects of counselling and would relish an opportunity to support you work through your difficulties. I am also a working mother who fully understands the pressures of life.
I have been working in the supporting profession since 2007.
As counselling can often be emotionally challenging it is imperative to offer a safe, confidential, non-judgemental, empathic and caring environment which will enable you to explore and reflect on your troubles.
With your commitment and engagement in the process you can achieve growth and self acceptance which will lead to more fulfilment in your life.
I work in a collaborative way allowing me to meet the specific individuals needs of my clients.
I encourage clients to be in touch with their own autonomy which will empower you on a journey of self discovery.
I can offer counselling from my counselling room in Kirkintilloch or I have access to counselling rooms in The Counsulting Room in the city centre.
Training, qualifications & experience
I currently work in private practice and have a counselling room at home.
I also currently practice at St Andrew's Hospice in Airdie.
I have previously practiced in Anniesland College.
I was previously a volunteer at the Scottish Domestic Abuse Helpline.
Costa certificate in counselling skills - Caledonion University.
Post Graduate-Diploma in counselling - Strathclyde University.
Advance training in trauma, abuse & dissociation.
Domestic abuse training.
Through my various practices I have gained experience working with a wide range of psychological disturbances.

I offer a reduced rate for session 1 which is £20.00 for 1 hour or a free 30 minute consultation.
All sessions afterwards would be charged at £35.00 per hour.
Cancellations made less than 24hrs prior to your appointment would be charged a £35.00
At the first appointment I do an initial assessment with the client and through discussion we explore
your indivdual needs and goals you to wish to persue through counselling.
I subscript and am regulated by the BACP and adhere to their professional ethics and code of conduct.
