Lorelei Green MBACP
Hi, I'm Lorelei and thank you for visiting my profile.
As a person centred counsellor my job is to provide a space that is free of judgement, in which you feel safe enough to explore your thoughts, feelings and options at your own pace.
Although I have training and experience, I believe that you have the ability to find the answers to your problem and that you are the expert on you. My job is to help you figure it all out. This means that the therapy will be totally led by you and go in whatever direction you need.
I can offer techniques from other models of therapy, such as CBT, if they seem helpful, but the core of the therapy is about genuinely understanding and valuing you for who you are.
I am fully qualified and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), following their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
I am currently studying an MSc in psychological trauma and have a particular interest in working with anyone who feels they have been traumatised by life events.
I usually offer counselling at the Roy Fletcher Centre in the town centre during weekdays.
For weekend appointments I use rooms above OJoy cafe in the town centre. Please be aware that there is no disabled access at this venue.
