Lois Talbot BA (Hons) Registered MBACP Counsellor & Supervisor
The Park Practice
31 Park Road
I am an experienced counsellor working close to Coventry city centre. As a person-centred therapist I truly believe that each of us has the capacity to grow and develop towards our more authentic self. We need the conditions to be right for this to happen and for growth and healing to take place.
As your counsellor I will try to offer the conditions which allow for you to honestly and safely explore what your concerns and feelings are. I will listen and really try to understand how things are for you. I will be genuine and honest with you about how I experience our counselling relationship. I will value you and your beliefs even if they are very different to mine. I will not judge you.
You are the expert of your own experience. You decide how to use the sessions and what is most important for you. I may offer challenge within this and may ask you to reflect on the work we are doing.
I have over 25 years experience helping people who struggle with anxiety and depression and I currently work as a therapist seeing clients with a wide range of concerns, including: mental health, relationships, bereavement, personal development, spirituality and faith.
You will know what helps you best. I will be happy to meet with you and to explore whether I am the right therapist for you. I offer a reduced rate of £30 for an initial 50 minute meeting, or if you prefer a shorter first meeting, please contact me to discuss this.
It is usual to meet weekly or fortnightly to develop a working relationship and what you need from it.
You might consider the number of sessions which could be of benefit to you and the total cost in time, money and commitment.
