Are you finding it hard to get over something that's happened to you, or to someone close to you, recently or a long time ago? Perhaps it's affecting your relationships, your parenting or your work?

I'm a counsellor who specialises in helping people after they've experienced difficult events.This could be a traumatic event such as an assault, sudden bereavement or an accident, or it could be a situation that went on for some time, for example, abuse, bullying or neglectful parenting.

I have over 25 years experience of working with people facing difficulties as well as specialist training in a range of trauma therapies. I will try to help you to understand, manage and reduce your distress, with no pressure to tell the details of your story. My aim will be to help you get back on track, so that you can move on from what happened.

I am flexible about appointment times and duration of treatment - my aim is to provide what you need.

I am a Member of BACP and work to their ethics, meaning that my practice is responsible and accountable.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling; Certificate of Qualification in Social Work; Certificate in Coaching and Development. Training includes EMDR (a treatment for trauma recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence for use in the NHS); trauma/family constellations; Somatic Trauma Therapy; Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for the treatment of trauma. Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
