I have been in the mental health field for over 20 years as a counsellor and psychotherapist and my approach is warm and down to earth.
My priority is working to meet the needs of the individual with respect for the unique nature of each. The research indicates that the most important element and predictor of change or progress in therapy is the relationship between patient or client and therapist, this is absolutely key to my way of working.
The work that I offer, explores thoughts and feelings beneath the surface in a collaborative way. This kind of work can enable you to understand things on a deeper level, which can in turn facilitate lasting change, both in oneself and in ones relationships with others.
Sometimes the pace and demands of a person's life leaves them wanting to focus on a specific area of difficulty , holding them back in the here and now and I can offer this kind of work if it is needed.
Please feel free to phone me to discuss your needs.
