About me

I am an experienced UKCP accredited psychotherapist, counsellor, supervisor and I am a trainer. I hold an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy. I currently work in private practice in locations: Southampton, Eastleigh and Winchester, however in the current pandemic circumstances I offer sessions using the online platform Zoom amongst others. I hope to meet back face to face as soon as the conditions allow.

We will explore together, in a safe, professional, confidential, and non-judgmental environment, with the issues that have brought you to therapy to enable you to find your own inner resources for changes and personal growth. Gestalt Therapy is a Humanistic Therapy, that incorporates the whole of the person as one: the mind, emotions, and bodily sensations integrating together; helping to enable awareness of oneself.

Many of us have problems or issues that slow us down or stop us functioning altogether in our lives. This could relate to one interaction or it may be a pattern for us where the normal coping skills and resources we use stop working for us as well as they did. Sometimes we may not have any idea why we are feeling different it could be something about us just 'doesn’t feel right'.

I specialise in helping people overcome a variety of issues including anxiety, attachment, bereavement, generalised anxiety disorder, stress, depression, panic disorder, personality adaptations, addiction, trauma, mental health, relationship issues, couples counselling and health issues. I have worked in differing environments including NHS providing counselling services for service users, general practitioners, rape crisis and mental health providing a vast range of experience. Alongside my private practice I continue to work for a counselling charity organisation providing supervision and training. I have previous experience as a Programme Coordinator and lecturer of a DipHE counselling course.

I offer clinical supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists, qualified or in-training, individual, group and organisational basis, please contact me for further details.

I am an accredited member of the UKCP and adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

I hold an advanced DBS check.
