Iris Counselling (Lisa Faircloth)
Burnham On Crouch
Relationship issues, anxiety, depression, loss, bereavement and divorce, are common problems that many of us face within our life time but often life can be so busy and fast paced that sometimes we just get swept along, and this means issues that have affected us in the past are still with us and can have an impact on our present, and possibly our future way of being if we don't make changes.
If you are looking at this website then you have already taken the first step to explore your issue with a view to making changes through counselling.
In my counselling service, I aim to give you an opportunity to think and talk about what’s going on for you, to understand more about why you are feeling as you do, and to support you to find your own ways forward in the situations that you face whether this is in your current situation or from past memories and experiences.
As a counsellor I will not advise or be opinionated ,we can work together to look at what is causing you difficulty and how to bring about change for a more fulfilling future.
I am a qualified Integrative counsellor and a member of The British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapist (BACP).
Our first session together will be an assessment and will be an opportunity for you to tell me what you are looking for from counselling, this assessment will also give us the opportunity to see if we are happy to work with each other. The number of sessions required will vary from person to person, I offer time limited sessions of which we will agree how many session at the assessment (6-12 sessions) or longer term open ended sessions. We will have regular reviews to discuss the progress and it is your choice when you end our therapeutic relationship.
All sessions are for the therapeutic hour of 50 minutes.
I don't believe that one type of counselling fits all and work with an Integrative approach which means I can work in a way that is best suited to you and your needs.
I hold full professional liability insurance, a DRB and attend regular private supervision aswell as group supervision.
