About me

I have been a qualified therapist for 25 years and have completed over 32'000 clinical hours.
I feel that counselling is something that we probably all need at some point in our lives, it gives us a space to talk to someone who;won't judge you, won't form opinions on what you say, someone who will try to really understand what you are going through and try to help you find the best solution for you.

My practice is integrated which means that I draw upon theories such as Person Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT; this allows my approach to adapt to fit the individual client, as I believe that each client is unique.

I specialise in many areas; relationship issues, addictive behaviour, stress & anxiety, loss, health issues and anger management as well as issues of sexuality and confidence building.

I also work with families, couples and groups.

I provide a totally confidential environment that supports clients' needs. I am directive and motivated to support clients through their problems. I do not judge and offer support to a diverse client group.

I am the owner of a training centre offering courses on Counselling, Personal Development and CPD. Please feel free to contact me to chat about any of these courses.

As a qualified Clinical Supervisor, I also support other Counsellors and Therapists, and I own a Training Centre, training new counsellors as well as CPD courses for qualified Therapists.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
