Welcome and thank you for visiting my profile. Choosing a therapist can often be a daunting prospect so please allow me to tell you a little about myself. I am a qualified BACP registered therapist and I work from a welcoming Private Practice in Towcester and also from my therapy room in the charming village of North Marston, a few miles from Aylesbury.
I have experience of working with adults from all walks of life in both long and short-term therapy. Having worked within the Judicial system for several years, I have gained significant insight and skills in working with young adults in particular and have also benefitted from working with clients in a psychosexual practice and as a counsellor in a corporate business environment.
We can often feel alone with our worries and it can sometimes be difficult to talk about our concerns and feelings with those close to us. I provide a calm, safe, respectful and non-judgemental space for us to explore the issues that are causing you concern, frustration or unhappiness in your life.
I work integratively which means that I am able to draw upon a range of counselling theories to work with you in a way that is unique to your particular needs. I can draw upon my experience of working with many issues such as anxiety, bereavement and loss, stress, depression and relationship breakdown.
Taking the first step
If you're reading this then you have already take the first step. If you feel that you would like to get in touch, please contact me by email or by phone for a confidential discussion on how we might work together (this will involve no obligation on your part).
If you feel happy to continue after our conversation, we can agree a mutually convenient time to meet at my practice in Towcester or at my therapy room In North Marston (a village which lies between Aylesbury & Buckigham) for an initial consultation. The aim of this first meeting is for me to understand more about what has prompted you to consider counselling and to explain what you can expect from us working together, but it also gives you the opportunity to see if therapy is right for you.
