Profile

I am an experienced, qualified counsellor, supervisor and trainer, based in Little Haywood, between Lichfield and Stafford.  I offer you the opportunity to talk, in confidence and without judgement, in a warm, safe environment, and to explore what is going on for you, helping you to gain perspective on how to achieve greater fulfilment.

Why do we need counselling? Most of the time, we feel able to face the challenges and ups and downs of life, but sometimes we can become overwhelmed by our feelings or by events.  Then it can help to talk to someone who is not directly involved, but who will listen, from our point of view, as we try to make sense of what is going on for us.

I work in what is called a Humanistic-Integrative way, which means that I am non-directive, believing you to know instinctively what is right for you, but that I may use the theory behind a number of approaches to help us to explore your issues.  This may include creative interventions, because not everybody expresses themselves best through words.

Our first session will be an "assessment" session, where we can explore what you wish to achieve and how we might work together.
