Hello and welcome to my profile. My name is Lindsay Rowe and I am qualified and experienced Counsellor working in Central Solihull, offering individual counselling on a long or short term basis. I integrate aspects of developmental and relational theories into my work in a warm and supportive environment. Together we can identify the connections between your early/ recent life experiences and your current difficulties, as well as looking at stategies to improve how you are feeling. These issues will be explored in a safe, confidential setting, where I will strive to understand how you are feeling, offer insights into what may be causing you to feel that way, and discuss with you possible changes that might need to be made in order for you to start feeling happier.Sometimes it is difficult to talk to your family and friends about what is troubling you and you may benefit from taking to a neutral person who is trained to listen with kindness and in an accepting, non-judgemental way.
I have worked in many different settings - Primary Care [GP surgery], a Bereavement agency, a Hospice, and in Private Practice - which means that I have experience in a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, addictions, phobias, low self-esteem, self-harm, suicide, bereavement, relationship problems, work-related stress etc. Sometimes there is not a particular issue - just a feeling that life is not quite right and that you just can't cope! Although I qualified in Counselling several years ago, I have recently decided to continue my training for a Masters degree in Integrative Psychotherapy which is helping to further develop my knowledge and ability to help you.
