Linda Barlow MA, UKCP registered
I have worked for the last 20 years as a counsellor/ psychotherapist with referrals from GPs, Occupational Health, employee assistance providers as well as private referrals. I work in 2 GP surgeries in West Oxfordshire. Overall I have over 30 years' experience of working with stress and personal development, with individuals and organisations.
My practice is based in Eynsham, which is in easy reach of Oxford, Witney, Bicester, Abingdon, Woodstock, Burford and West Oxfordshire
I am a registered Psychotherapist with the UKCP, and a member of several professional organisations.
My therapeutic training covers a wide range: from the transpersonal perspective to the focused short-term approach of Cognitive Analytic Therapy. I therefore see some clients for a very few sessions which would aim to put a problem into perspective and identify resources for further help –and others for longer-term psychotherapy which would go more deeply into patterns and self exploration. It is a good idea to come for one session as an assessment, which will make clear what is needed, and what you would like to pursue.
I am also a qualified mediator, run courses on stress management and work as a coach within organisations. My former work included running management courses, and I was Programmes Manager for Oxford University Business Summer School.
My own experience of therapy is Jungian analysis, and I have also practiced meditation for the last 39 years. I am committed to my continuing professional development, and my practice is fully supervised.
I also work as a counselling supervisor.
