One of the greatest joys in my life is building people up and that is what I offer in therapy. I'm a Stanford (U.S.) trained Clinical Psychologist who is licensed in the US and also a Chartered Clinical Psychologist in the U.K. and HCPC registered. I lived in the U.K., U.S. and Hong Kong for substantial amounts of time and I am triglingual in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
I offer individual, couples and family therapy for both adults and children. I draw from a range of evidence based approaches and tailor them to your needs. Prior to private practice, I have worked with people of all age ranges in primary care, university medical centre, outpatient, inpatient, eating disorders day program, emergency psychiatric services, college counselling and community mental health. I also taught masters level counselling courses and did online coaching for high functioning individuals suffering from anxiety and body image concerns. I'm currently located in London, U.K., but can also see patients in California via videoconferencing.
In addition to psychotherapy, I also provide individual executive coaching and resilience training to organisations. Clients I have worked with include Major Project Leaders attending the Major Projects Leadership Academy at the University of Oxford's Said Business School, Major Generals in the UK Army, faculty and students at the University of Oxford, the European and Europa school.
Training, qualifications & experience
Therapeutic Orientations I am trained in include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness. I also pay close attention to how culture, dynamics and spirituality plays a role in our well being as well. Common issues treated include anxiety, depression, insomnia, relationship issues, parenting and eating disorders.
I take a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to understanding your condition and use an integrative approach in therapy that is focused on both acceptance and change, enhancing strengths and solving problems at the same time in order to help you become a stronger and more authentic self.
