Further Information

Online Counselling.

Online therapy offers flexibility and a means of counselling which can be exciting, challenging and very effective.

Narrative and creative therapies bring the inner and outer worlds together through imagination - opening the door to the unconscious world. It helps to externalise and master life experiences, and to bridge fantasy and reality.

As the relationship between conscious and unconscious develops, self-esteem is restructured and strengthened. It allows exploration of specific events past, present or future, and explore themes and issues related to these events.

The use of metaphor, imagery and symbolic modelling help the discovery of new and alternative ways of perceiving the self and the world - the process of using ‘living symbols’, to enable healing to happen spontaneously within a person at an unconscious level.

My specialism is with people who are neurologically atypical - in other words - may have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum 'disorder' or Asperger Syndrome (both will be described as AS), or ADHD.

It is thought that 70% of people have problems with the myriad of information and stimuli presented to them externally.

Online therapy for anyone allows for a reduction in immediate stimulation and a distance which has less contact but can oddly create much more.

The counselling work between us will be a model best suited to you, but can involve e mail exchange or chat sessions via MSN or Skype.
